Clarinex

Clarinex is a well-known medication used in the treatment of seasonal and perennial allergies. Clarinex tablets contain an antihistamine that provides 24-hour relief from the symptoms of hayfever, also known as seasonal allergic rhinitis. This means that only one tablet needs to be taken daily. Clarinex also has the advantage of being a non-drowsy medication when taken in recommended doses. Each tablet of Clarinex contains 5mg ( milligrams ) of the antihistamine desloratadine as the active ingredient.

When the body comes in contact with allergens that the immune system has become sensitized to it releases various chemicals, including histamine. Pollens, dust mites and mold spores are all common allergens. It is histamine that is responsible for many of the unpleasant symptoms of allergies such as an itchy or runny nose, sneezing, itchy or watery eyes, an irritated throat, and nasal congestion. By blocking the action of histamine, Clarinex tablets reduce these symptoms. It will also reduce the symptoms of some allergic skin disorders like hives, or chronic idiopathic urticaria, and rashes with unknown causes.
