Actifed tablets for faster relief. Actifed tablets give 2-way action featuring both an antihistamine and a decongestant for treating hayfever, colds and allergies. Actifed tablets quickly relieve nasal congestion, dries a runny nose, and alleviates sneezing, itchy nose and eyes. Each Actifed tablet contains 60mg of Pseudoephedrine Hydrochloride and 2.5mg Triprolidine Hydrochloride as the two active ingredients. Pseudoephedrine Hydrochloride is a nasal decongestant that treats sinus pressure, clears congestion, and helps you breathe easier. Triprolidine Hydrochloride is an antihistamine that helps to dry a runny nose, alleviate watery eyes, an itchy nose and throat, and reduce sneezing. You should feel the benefits of Actifed within 15 to 30 minutes of taking a tablet. Actified is available in packets of 15 and 30 tablets.
Product Dosage
Children aged 6 to 12 years of age take half a tablet, three times a day.
Children over 12 years of age and adults take 1 tablet, three times a day.
Do not take a double dose of Actifed if you forget to take a tablet during the day.
Warnings and Precautions:
- Avoid alcohol
- Actifed may cause drowsiness. If affected do not drive a vehicle or operate machinery
- Consult with your doctor or pharmacist before using Actifed if you are pregnant or breast-feeding
- If you are currently taking a prescription antihypertensive or antidepressant medication, including monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs), consult with your doctor or pharmacist before taking Actifed
- Do not use Actifed if you are allergic to Pseudoephedrine Hydrochloride, Triprolidine Hydrochloride or any other ingredient of Actifed. Actifed tablets also contain lactose
- Keep Actifed out of the reach of young children
- In some cases, possible side effects of this medication may include: Dizziness, Sleep disturbances, Dry mouth, nose or throat
Maintenance: Keep Actifed in a dry place. Protect from direct sunlight. Store below 25 degrees Celsius.
