Question: Is the currency converter accurate?

Answer: Yes. The currency converter featured on this site has its rates automatically updated every day. The rates you see are updated every 24 hours from Oanda.com. You can view all the information related to them at this address: http://www.oanda.com. As the currency converter is only designed to give you an idea of the cost of your order in the chosen currency, it does provide a relatively accurate guide.

Question: How do I select which currency is displayed?

Answer: You can select the currency you want to have your order displayed in by highlighting the currency you want in the list under the 'Select your currency' heading. Click on the default, which is United States Dollars (USD), and scroll down the list until the currency you want is highlighted. Now click on your selection and this will be the currency displayed. While your order is shown in this currency, this is only intended to be a guide to the approximate value of your order. The only exact value given is for New Zealand Dollars (NZD) as all orders are charged in NZD.

If you have an account with us, you have the option of selecting a preferred currency that will be displayed whenever you log on. In this case, 'Select your currency' will not give you the option of changing your preferred currency. If you want to change the currency currently associated with your account, you will need to do so by changing you account's user profile. You can do this by clicking on the 'My account details' link within your account. Look under the heading 'Site Settings' and select a new preferred currency.

Question: Will I be charged in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) regardless of what currency I choose to have displayed?

Answer: Yes. The currency converter will only give you an approximation of the cost of the order in a currency other than New Zealand Dollars (NZD). You will only be charged in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and this is the only currency that can show you the exact amount that you will be charged for the order. To help you, the total for your order in NZD is displayed below the order total in your selected currency.

Question: Why do you only have a small list of currencies to choose from in the currency converter?

Answer: We have only listed the most popular currencies. Otherwise the list can become a little unwieldy with too many minor currencies to scroll past until you get to the one you want.
